Gerry & The Pacemakers was the first act to reach number one in the UK with their first three singles. (And their fourth release reached number two).
Interestingly, their fellow Liverpudlians, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, was the second act to do so.
I'm a big fan of Gerry Marsden's voice. He always sounds like he's happy.
Such a sad video. Utterly tragic.
A tribute to the 96 poor souls who lost their lives on 15th April 1989, at Hillsborough Stadium.
Most of the people killed were younger than 30 years old.
