366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 277 Number 90 Adam Ant / Adam & The Ants

Love Adam, but must say I was rather disappointed with his performance when I saw him earlier this year.
Oh well...

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 276 Number 91 HeeBeeGeeBees

These guys would probably have fared higher had I considered them a real band...
And here are a few extra treats, taken from the Australian-only release, '20 Big Number Twos'. A classic...

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 275 Number 92 Emitt Rhodes

Emitt Rhodes is one of those artists who has been criminally ignored throughout his career.
Like a version of Paul McCartney Lite, Emitt is gloriously melodic.
Enjoy...

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 274 Number 93 The Beautiful South

Wonderfully witty and typically British, The Beautiful South made some very fine pop records indeed...

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 273 Number 94 The Moody Blues

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 272 Number 95 Morrissey / The Smiths

I last saw Morrissey perform more than 20 years ago at the Kilburn National Ballroom in London.
Never have I experienced such fandom. Here were big, skinhead lads, whom, at a shake from Morrissey's hand, would literally weep.
It was quite something.
Fast forward to 2012, and I shall be driving up to Sydney to see him at the Opera House, for a friend's birthday weekend, just before Christmas.
This one's for you, Cam...

And here are a couple of bonus clips...

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 271 Number 96 Elvis Presley

And here comes along another Elvis...
And, was there a man alive in 1968 who was more handsome than Elvis?
I wasn't actually born then so I can't be sure, but I very much doubt it.
Oh, perhaps Macca...

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 270 Number 97 Jack Wild

Jack Wild was possibly my first crush. I was about four.
I have all (3, I think) of his albums, most of his movies, a thermos, a flask and a Freddie Flute.
I even own an H.R. Pufnstuf costume (which I plan on wearing at a friend's Hallowe'en party at the end of the month! Shhhh...)
H.R. Pufnstuf wasn't really made for kids, surely.
It must've been for all the stoners.
Anyway, Jack Wild will forever be that cute lad with the impish grin who couldn't quite pronounce his Rs, to me.
This one is for Em and Larry...

And as an added bonus, here is the wonderful H.R. Pufnstuf theme...

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 269 Number 98 Elvis Costello & The Attractions

My apologies for not updating my blog for the last 10 days.
Call it moving and being without the interweb all that time.
It was hell, I tells ya!

Filmed in my beloved hometown, Melbourne...
