366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 351 Number 16 Cotton Mather

You may well not have heard of this band, but that doesn't mean they're not deserving of their place in this here blog.
Run like the fucking wind and buy their 1997 release, Kontiki.
It'll blow your mind.

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 350 Number 17 10cc / Godley & Creme

Such a clever band is 10cc...

Not only an amazing song, what a video!

Macca makes an appearance on b. vox on this track...

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 349 Number 18 Little River Band

Once upon a time, there was this great group called the Little River Band. Then one day, a bad man came along and fucked them over by taking their name. And he wouldn't give it back.
(Allegedly...)
So, the Little River Band became Birtles Shorrock And Goble.
And they all lived happily ever after.
Kinda...

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 347 Number 20 Olivia Newton-John

And we're on to the home stretch. The pointy end of my blog/chart...
At Number 20 it's the lovely Livvy.
British by birth, but a fellow Melburnian.
No arguments, thank you.

Arguably the prettiest girl in the world at this point...

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 346 Number 21 The Wombles

I would say my dream gig would be as a member of The Wombles.
Two main reasons; fame, albeit with some kind of anonymity.
And think of the weight you'd lose each night, under those hot lights in that heavy costume...

Only one of the greatest TV themes ever!

And here is some footage from last year's Glastonbury...

This is Wellington Womble's 'Rainmaker', which he released after leaving the group to pursue a solo career...
The Wombles spent more weeks on the U.K. album chart than any other act in 1974.
Fact.

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 345 Number 22 Rick Springfield

Rick Springfield. What a spunk!!!
#thatisall
This haunting track was written after his father passed away...
Change a word. Get a third...
As an added bonus, here is The Zoot with their excellent cover of Eleanor Rigby...

366 Artists In 366 Days : Day 344 Number 23 Bee Gees

Melody is a wonderful film, reuniting one of my favourite actors, Jack Wild, and Mark Lester...

Not sure they'd get away with a song with this title these days...

And what finer tribute to the late Maurice and Robin, than this? Only one of the funniest sketches ever...
